Promotion of Micro-Planning: Micro-planning is promoted at the village level to encourage bottom up planning. This enables communities to come together and analyze the economic, cultural and environmental situations of their villages, identify the village resources for their optimum utilization, prioritize problems and seek solutions. Prepared plans are presented at the Panchayat level for review and consideration.  Panchayat officials are trained and guided to undertake their own micro-planning process at the Panchayat level. The micro-plans are linked with the higher tiers of the governance to access the appropriate allocation of resources.

BOTTOM – UP PLANNING

The micro-planning process ensures the effective implementation of various government schemes including the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). Block level workshops on micro-planning are organized to sensitize PRI representative, line departments and block level officials on the benefits and processes of micro-planning. The District level Partnerships are visualized to evolve a district level forum to discuss the governance issues at the local level and strengthen the advocacy for real devolution of powers and function in letter and spirit. In the process, the District Planning Committees (DPCs) are activated and strengthened the for facilitating linkages of bottom up planning to District level plans.
