Senior Programme Executive, Governance
Main Purpose of the Role:
Ensure community participation to identify Governance issues, plan & Implement activities to make the community self reliant and empowered
Supervise/Manage Field Activities
- Prepare community development plan through community participation.
- Organise community meeting
- Worked as a link person between community and Project
- Monitor CBO activities
- Facilitate Panchayat plan.
- Prepared annual plan for federation
- Do process documentation
- Support in donor compliance
- Liaison with other NGOs and Mainstream Agencies
- Carry out regular field visits
Strengthen Community Based Organisations
- Form Village Development Committee
- Build capacity & create awareness among community people on Governance issues.
- Create awareness on all Govt. Act like FRA, NREGA etc.
Manage Field Service Volunteers & Interns
- Strengthen the capacity of Field Service Volunteers
- Monitor their activities and suggest for improvement
- Supervise activities of Program Executive & Program Interns and work as a mentor
Provide support to PM/APM as and when required
- Submitting the monthly programme review, minutes of the monthly meetings & any other reports relating to programme activities to PM/APM, Action for appraising the progresses made in the activities undertaken.
- Documenting the procedures & implementation plan in relation to programme activities
- Attend to all official duties as and when assigned by the supervisor.
- Manage Finance & keep record of spending
General Roles & Responsibility:
- To be aware of and abide by policies, procedures and systems of CYSD
- To be involved in the activities of CYSD when required
- To report, if necessary, any breaches of procedures or fraud
- To be a proactive member of CYSD and advocate wherever possible for its work
To undertake any other duties as and when required dependent on Org’s need
Education Qualifications
Graduate/Post graduate in Social Science or related discipline
Experience
- Minimum 3 yrs relevant work experience in Development Sector, particularly experience in community mobilisation and knowledge on functioning of local self governance
- Understanding on different Social issues
- Budget control & Program implementation skill
- Representing org. at different levels
Minimum computer knowledge
Competences
- Report & case study writing skill
- Good rapport building skill and ability to influence other
Ability to work to deadlines and plan
Personal Qualities
- Ability to cope with conflicting demands
- Ability to effectively organise and prioritise
- Gender Sensitive
calm and composed when under pressure
Other requirements Relevant for the Post
- Willingness to travel to project locations
